Whether you need to lose weight, tone up, train for a specific event, or change your current exercise routine, these sessions will allow you to benefit one-on-one with your trainer at an affordable price. Small Group Personal Training Offering you a chance to interface with a personal trainer at a very affordable price, our small group training differs from our regularly scheduled classes. The purpose of the training is specific to the goals of the class participants. Training sessions are limited to 4-10 people, so sign up early to reserve your spot. Fitness Assessments The Y offers Fitness Assessments based on a standardized method in the following areas: postural, flexibility and overall movement. We can also check your resting heart rate, blood pressure and body fat. As the nation’s leading exercise program designed exclusively for older adults, SilverSneakers engages members and helps keep them motivated to improve their own health and well-being. SilverSneakers ® Classic (Muscle Strength Range of Motion) Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support. 45 min. SilverSneakers ® Cardio Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance with a standing cardio workout. Low-impact movements are practiced in a slow, flowing sequence to progress strength, balance, and focus. Senior Circuit Class This Senior Circuit Class is a specialty class designed specifically for our active older adults, both male and female. This 45-minute workout will consist of alternating stations of weights and cardio including a warm-up, abs, specialty work on gait, agility and flexibility followed by a cool down and stretching. ChildWatch is more than just a safe place to look after your children while at the Y. This program offers children and infants the chance to get the most out of their own visit to the Y through playing, learning and staying physically active. Age requirements, time limits and hours vary by branch. Free Family Fridays Ages 6wks-13yrs One Friday each month from 4-8pm*, parents who are Y Members can drop off their children for a free evening of fun while they enjoy an early dinner or just fulfill other obligations. Space is limited and only one of these programs is allotted per month to each family. Please note, parents must sign up in advance for the evening that they plan to have their children attend (holiday weekends are excluded). *Pizza is $4. Kid’s Night Out Ages 6wks-13yrs It’s 9pm on a Saturday night, do you know where your kids are? Of course you do! They’re eating pizza, playing games and making friends at the Y during this monthly evening event. Children in attendance should wear comfortable clothing (including socks), bring their own blankets, pillow and/or wear pajamas. Note: Price varies by age All About Me Ages 2-3 This pay-by-the-day program lets kids enjoy a morning filled with fun while parents take care of errands or enjoy time to rejuvenate. Classes are offered on Tuesdays and Fridays. Y Afterschool Grades K–5 The goal of our afterschool program is to ensure safety for children while promoting healthy physical and emotional growth, assisting working families, and inspiring children to learn. We strive to help each child reach their full potential by offering a positive and enriching environment that encourages the development of character, leadership and cooperative spirit. We offer afterschool care until 6:30pm and all-day care on most school holidays, including summer, at convenient school sites throughout Central Texas. Preschool at the Y Ages 8wks-5yrs Licensed by the Department of Family and Protective Services and resides in Round Rock. We strive to provide each child with positive and stimulating activities within a nurturing Christian atmosphere. Through a well-balanced curriculum, our program promotes positive self-concepts, creative development, intellectual challenge, cooperation and respect for one another.
